Lore-Friendly Holy Nation Buff
I disliked all the other mods that buff the holy nation. I just wanted their strength to be more believable. They can actually win fights in bast now. The changes are largely unnoticable, with a few exceptions, since I didn’t want to stray from the vanilla game. I did an entire playthrough with this mod, where I destroyed the Holy Nation, and it does exactly what I wanted.
The list of changes:
-Seta’s sword changed from catun to edgewalkers, and his combat stats increased by 5. Now has a 100% chance of wearing chainmail.
-Veltena’s combat stats increased by 5. Now has a 100% chance of wearing chainmail.
-High Overseer’s combat stats increased by 5.
-High Paladin’s now have a 50% chance to wield a Catun quality weapon. (Seta uses a Catun weapon in the vanilla game, so I don’t see how it’s lore unfriendly to allow other high ranking paladins to use them.)
-Holy chosen armor upgrade chance increased from 5 to 10. Combat stats increased from 17 to 25. Now wears a leather vest, drifter’s boots, and karuta zukin.
-Holy sentinel combat stats increased by 5. Now wears a leather shirt instead of a leather vest.
-Holy servant combat stats increased from 15 to 20. Now wears drifter’s boots, leather vest, kusari zukin, with a 50% chance of wearing sandals. Has an 80% chance of use a short-cleaver instead of an iron club.
-Inquisitor combat stats increased by 5. Armor upgrade chance increased from 10% to 15% Guaranteed to wear chainmail. Wields a Catun quality weapon.
-Paladin combat stats increased by 5. Armor upgrade chance increased from 5% to 20%. Now has an 80% chance of wearing a chain shirt, and 20% chance of wearing a leather shirt. Cloth shirt is removed.
-Paladin Guardian combat stats increased by 10. Now wears a chain shirt instead of a cloth shirt.
-Protector of the flame armor changed from high to specialist. Combat stats increased by 5. Weapon quality is edgewalkers. Wears chainmail instead of a chain shirt.
-Strayed paladin combat stats increased by 5.
