What is this mod?

This mod changes the entire combat system of the game so you WILL HAVE TO LEARN TO PLAY all over again.
Rome 2’s basic combat system has been changed and 3 new forms of combat have been included for battles.

The mod aims to change and revamp the way you play this game by innovating on various issues, including the horrible unit physics system.

This mod changes and adds new physics, weight and mass for the units, as well as a new and REAL artificial intelligence.
-What I mean by this?
That unlike all the other mods in the workshop that try to renew the combat only by changing the statistics of the units and their movement, I have created a new artificial intelligence in the game scripts, making it act more intelligently by learning from mistakes in campaigns and in individual battles using all the resources at your disposal.
So the AI will use all formations to its advantage, surround, use gaps, gaps and create fake retreats to trick you into beating you.

Even though the AI does not modify the campaign, it does modify how the units will work in it, let me explain. Under a small learn script (quite easy to do) I added a command that makes the AI learn from previous battles if the general hasn’t died so the same tactic you used against a general who didn’t die will most likely not come back. to work.

Each culture will fight differently and you will have to learn to fight differently against each of these. In summary words since it is a very long topic, the free Celtic, Iberian and Germanic peoples will try to break your formations and go to individual combat where they will have a much greater advantage. (Single combat is one of the 3 new combat mechanics)
The Romans will use purely defensive formations and tactics and will use wedges to break the enemy lines.
The Greeks will use tactics from the Peloponnesian wars and a huge etc. So every time you fight against a different culture, the way you play against them will be totally different.

The new three combat modes What do I mean by this?
I’ll try to explain it properly:

Shield combat is now the main base of the game, you will have to learn how to use the three basic formations, "Shield Wall", "Shield Screen" and "Wedge" to achieve victory, these three formations make a mini game of "Rock, paper or scissors" between them, so each one is more efficient against the other, each one with its advantages and disadvantages. You will have to learn when to use each ability and how to use it and who to use it against in order to win.

Single combat is another new mechanic. When your shield formations have been broken or you are simply not using a formation, a large part of your units will enter a system that I call "Field Battle" where each soldier will fight individually against the enemy and during their individual combat they will not be able to be controlled, but other units yes, that is, if out of 100 soldiers 45 are in "Pitched Battle" only 55 can be used until these 45 soldiers die or win their individual combat, sometimes even this individual combat can be supported by 2 or three enemy soldiers that they will support their friend in their fight, so it depends on the soldier’s courage, skill and mettle to be able to win this 1v1 combat. (I mean morale, and weapon stats)

The other combat system will only work if you have my effects mod activated and that is that the units will lose morale with the fires, the fire and the blood of the allies, so you will have to be careful where you fight, how you fight and avoid the fires.

In addition to all this, the weight of the units was modified so that heavier units can push lighter units, their speed has been modified, and certain statistics have been modified to make combat more enjoyable.

Does this mean that the fight will last a long time?
Yes and no, the combat between shields can take too long since some units will even be afraid and may just stare at each other screaming until one of them has the courage to advance or you as a general force them to advance (Which has a penalty on morale) (This fear system is also a new addition as units with the same level may be afraid to engage and just keep pushing their shields or yelling and it will be up to you to use this to your advantage or to your advantage. counter) but hey, picking up these fights with shields can be lengthened and can be used to surround your enemy or the AI use them to trap you and flip a unit in the rear and defeat your surrounding troops. So a battle can last long or very short depending on your skill as a player.
