Immortality by Gabe™
This mod gives you an immortality trait that has multiple trait paths to follow. The Gift of Immortality is a trait that I created for my other mod (Chaotic World Options) but when I was finished making the trait I realized that it could be a standalone mod. There are eight trait paths that follow a specific theme and give unique benefits. The immortality trait has a few benefits on its own, but it is primarily useful when the trait paths are upgraded. The theme around this mod is about interactions with other immortals. Every trait path involves an interaction with another immortal in order for it to be upgraded.
Ways to Gain Immortality:
A Lover’s Exchange – If you are married to your immortal soulmate, you may ask them to give you their immortality.
A Duel for Immortality – If you have an immortal rival, you may challenge them in a duel to the death. Winning the duel will give you immortality.
The Ultimate Degradation – Abduct an immortal ruler and then execute them to steal their power.
Blood for the Blood God – Kill 100,000 of your enemies in battle over the course of your life to gain immortality.
The Fountain of Youth – Learn 9 or more languages and you will receive a map to the Fountain of Youth. If you decide to have an expedition, you may find it. Your family along with you will gain immortality with the Fountain of Youth.
Rain of Wealth – Earn 25,000 gold and you will be able to gain immortality.
Trait Paths:
General – An immortal that is able to win wars against other immortals will gain a reputation of being a great military leader. Upgrade this trait path bywinning wars against other immortals.
Duelist – When two immortals face each other in a duel to the death, they both have experience and youthful energy to make each other equals. However, the person who wins proves themselves to have a greater resolve. Upgrade this trait path bykilling other immortals in a duel.
Manipulator – Planning devious schemes against an immortal is a risk, but succeeding shows a distinctive ability to deceive others. Upgrade this trait bysucceeding in a murder, fabricate hook, abduct, or steal artifact scheme against another immortal that holds a landed title.
Fearmonger – When an immortal tortures, castrates, blinds, or executes another immortal, they establish their complete control over them. Upgrade this trait path byexecuting, torturing, castrating, or blinding another immortal.
Prosperity – A ruler can demonstrate their superiority using the economic status of their nation. With their everlasting lives, immortals can compete with each other to create the most prosperous nations. Upgrade this trait path byhaving a greater prosperity score than other immortal rulers. The prosperity score takes into account your capital’s income, culture, faith, religion, and popular opinion. Every two years, there will be a random event that calculates the prosperity score and distributes xp.
Worldly – Seeking lasting friendships with other immortals shows a great deal of maturity, humility, and wisdom. Learning about the languages and customs of other immortals helps with this pursuit. Upgrade this trait path bybecoming friends or best friends with another immortal, or succeeding a learn language scheme against another immortal. The immortal must have a landed title.
Lover – Loving mortals as an immortal will always lead to grieving. Having a lasting bond with another immortal means having someone who can completely understand you. Upgrade this trait path bybecoming a lover or soulmate of another immortal, or successfully eloping with another immortal.
Legacy – A child being born with the gift of immortality is nothing short of a miracle. If two immortals have a child together, they may be able to make this miracle more likely to occur. Upgrade this trait path byhaving an immortal child. 10% chance with only one parent with immortality, 25% chance with both parents having immortality.
The amount of experience gained depends on the rank of each immortal. Lower rank rulers will gain more experience than higher rank rulers. Bonuses to xp gain depend on the rank of the opposing immortal as well.
Immortals are created as time passes in your playthrough. For more detail,every year there is a one out of ten chance to create new immortals. The amount of immortals created is randomized as well and it can range from one immortal created to 50.
TAKE NOTE: This mod used to have the modifiers for each trait path given directly from The Gift of Immortality trait. Now the benefits for each trait path will be their own traits. Before this change, modifiers from the main trait would cause the window for the trait to clip out of the screen if too many trait paths were completed.

Extra piece of advice: If you plan on using Chaotic World Options along with this mod I would recommend placing Chaotic World Options before this mod in your load order. In the past I said to place CWO after this mod but because the updates for that mod take longer than updates for this mod, this mod is more up to date on the immortality features that both mods share.
