Monumental
It has always bugged us that EU4 displays such a narrow spectrum of monuments using it’s Great Project mechanic, leaving many of the incredible buildings scattered across the planet completely absent from the game.
Monumental indents to remedy this by adding a wide variety of new monuments to the game, enhancing flavour and gameplay richness.
Each monument has an image and some have descriptions, intended to help breathe life into the otherwise number-heavy and frankly soulless task of province micro.
Our aim is to eventually provide a monument for every single province in the game, although we’re still a long way off!
Monumental was created by OK_Diamond and Prof_Nerd as part of Chewy’s 2023 Modathon, in which we won the Gotta Have It! Award.
During the modathon, I created the Monument Maker 9000[drive.google.com], which can automatically edit monument images.
Just download, unzip and run the exe. Images in the input folder should get cropped, resized, and have the frame and banner applied to them. (I included a few to test with)
I also included the uncompiled python file in case you want to mess around with it or whatever.
Everyone is free to use it, let me (OK_Diamond) know if there are any issues.
