@Fireforged-Empire_ballast.pack – special pack for bypassing critical crash to the desktop with the error «Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error!». In case you encounter this bug in Fireforged Empire – turn off this pack and continue playing!

At a later stage of the campaign, the player may encounter a critical crash – during the AI turn the game crashes to the desktop with the error «Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime error» after which it was often impossible to continue the campaign. The reason is an «easter egg» from game developers who apparently put a «limiter» on unit selection for factions under AI. In the Fireforged Empire mod there is large variety of units, so sometimes the faction under the control of the AI gets a very wide selection of units. In such case a CTD may occur, with the text «Runtime Error» when passing the turn of this particular faction (it can happen only to these factions: British-Gallic RE, ERE or WRE). The @Fireforged-Empire_balast pack will help to solve the problem of these crashes. It should be used together with the main packs of the mod, but in case of a CTD – at the turn of the AI with the error «Runtime error» – switch off this pack! You can further enable @Fireforged-Empire_ballast again so that the Roman factions (player and AI both) will again have a full set of available units to hire, but in order to completely eliminate the probability of a crash – the faction (on the turn where the crash occurs) will have to be removed from the occupied territories by your own forces or AI (of course, if it is hostile to you) – this will reduce the available range of units for the AI to hire. In any case – disabling @Fireforged-Empire_ballast neutralizes the crash to the desktop with a "Runtime Error" and your campaign can be continued.

На позднем этапе кампании игрок может столкнуться с критическим вылетом на ходу ИИ на рабочий стол с ошибкой «Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error», после которого чаще всего было невозможно продолжать кампанию. Причина – «пасхалка» от разработчиков игры, которые, судя по всему, поставили «лимит выбора юнитов» для фракций ИИ. В моде Fireforged Empire большое кол-во разнообразных юнитов, поэтому иногда фракция под управлением ИИ получает очень широкий выбор юнитов. В таком случае может случиться вылет, с текстом «Runtime Error», при переходе хода именно этой фракции (это могут быть только эти фракции: Британо-галльская Римская империя, ЗРИ и ВРИ). Решить проблему данных вылетов поможет пак @Fireforged-Empire_balast. Его необходимо использовать вместе с основными паками мода, но при вылете – на переходе хода ИИ с ошибкой «Runtime error» – отключите данный пак! Вы можете в дальнейшем снова включить @Fireforged-Empire_ballast, чтобы римские фракции (игрок и ИИ) снова имели полный набор юнитов в найме, но, чтобы полностью исключить вероятность вылета – фракцию (на ходу которой происходит вылет) вам придется отбросить с занимаемых территории своими силами или ИИ (конечно, если она является враждебной вам) — это уменьшит набор доступных ИИ при найме юнитов. В любом случае – отключение @Fireforged-Empire_ballast нейтрализует вылет на рабочий стол с ошибкой «Runtime Error» и кампанию можно продолжать.
