Description:

Funny character where you write code while fighting people.

Lore

Wes is a skilled computer engineer from the future who can bend reality by writing code. He used this power to help Ayala build a time machine for use by the Endless Emperor, Loxodont, working as a contractor for the Fire Empire. When the time machine was stolen by Clairen, Wes was caught in the crossfire and mistakenly pursued by Loxodont’s drones. Forced to escape and fueled by a desire for revenge, he took a one-way trip to the distant past in hopes of putting an end to Clairen’s mission.

Elemental Powers

FUNCTION DECLARATION: Wes can write code with his Down Special to manipulate things like his speed or position, modify his gameplay stats, and even remove status effects like fire and poison.

PASSING ARGUMENTS: When grabbing an opponent with Neutral Special, Wes can apply his Down Special code to them in place of himself. He can also compile it into machine code with Forward Special, creating a projectile that’s stronger the more code he’s written.

DESK CHAIR: Wes’s office chair gives him extremely low friction as he rolls across the ground. When he jumps, the chair gets left behind and can be manipulated remotely.

Rivals 2 Contest

This character was made for the Rivals 2 character contest. I will not be offended if you decide to change the down special and focus on the chair gimmick instead ajsdajdgajdgakjsdhajksdh

Notes

Taunt in Practice Mode for more info. Also you can access his normal taunt in Practice Mode by holding any direction.

Hold right and press Attack to input random code during the code menu.

He does NOT have custom AI so the cpu is probably super bad. If anyone wants to code AI for him let me know and I’ll patch it in

Notice

If your game crashes when trying to change skins, unfortunately that’s a Rivals bug that happens sometimes with workshop characters. It’s inconsistent between different people and nobody knows how to reliably fix it. I hear it might have something to do with your save file and whether or not you’ve bought DLC, but nobody knows the exact conditions where it happens.

You can try this fix: https://steamcommunity.com/app/383980/discussions/2/4030223299347851882/
