Revised Armor
WHY: The game lacks depth in terms of armor simulation: there are no removable plates, direction from where you shot doesnt matter.
WHAT: This mod changes armor behavior and adds removable armor plates (Stell, Ceramic) with different penetration classes.
HOW
- Introduced armor plates that can be placed inside the armor vests to improve their protection
- If a bullet doesnt penetrate the armor it loses majority of dmagae potential. In vanilla the the the bullet loses majority of damage potential IRRESPECTIVE of whether it penetrated armor or not
- If the bullet penetrates the armor it still loses damage potential BUT the difference in penetration levels matter.
- Ceramic plates increase armor penetration protection BUT they are more brittle
- Weave padding increases armor durability and base damage protection
- Flak armor stops pistol bullets in vanilla? Not anymore. Want protection from pistol bullets – bring ceramic plates with you.
- Introduced new armor vests: M100, M200, M300, SWAT Vest, NATO Faust Vest, Range P930 Vest
HOW PLATES WORK
- Direction of hit matters: a plate will protect merc from front or back
- A plate can be inserted into front or back pocket of a vest
- To change in which pocket plate goes – use context menue, SWITCH PLACEMENT
- Plate can be removed from the vest using context menue
As always mod can be configured in mod options. (If anything is not clear – please ask in comments)
Recommended to be used with LBE mod for better immersion
Compatibility restrictions: not compatible with mods that make changes to ApplyHitDamageReduction method
