Jewels of the Crown
This mod is designed for unique vassal play by introducing 4 new types of loyal vassals:
The most easily accessible vassal, and a militarily-focused one at that. Providing buffs to reinforcing, manpower recovery and recruitment, the Crown Dominion assists you in building a strong army. Crown Dominions can be created from a loyal vassal with 5 or more provinces, and liberty desire below 50%. They do not take up a diplo slot.
An economically focused vassal, the Crown City State is a one-province vassal created solely to play tall and develop specific provinces for you. Providing buffs to development, trade efficiency and tax, it helps to bring you a stable balance. Crown City States can be created from any one-province vassal with over 20 development, and you can only have a maximum of 5. Crown City States do not take up a diplo slot.
An administrative vassal perfect for feeding, the Crownland Province is more closely integrated with your country. With innate bonuses to admin efficiency and government capacity, it can take on swathes of land easily, providing you trade efficiency and stability cost modifiers in return. Crownland Provinces can be created from a loyal vassal that’s been under vassalage for 10 years. They do not take up a diplo slot.
The most powerful of the vassals, the Eternal Vassal is a forever loyal force that brings several benefits to both you and itself. It gifts you development cost, trade efficiency, production efficiency, force limit, and much more. They can also field a large army themselves, making them an extreme threat to your foes. However, they are very difficult to obtain. Eternal Vassals can be created from a vassal with 200 opinion, 0% liberty desire, and that’s been under vassalage for 10 years. Eternal Vassals also need to have 20 or more provinces, with a total development of 400. You cannot annex Eternal Vassals, and can only have a maximum of 3. Compared to the other vassals, they take up diplo slots.
These vassals can interact with one another and with independent nations, marrying and rivalling as an indirect advisory on your next allies or enemies to seek out.
These weren’t designed with balance in mind and I use them as more of a LARPing tool, so I’ve made sure the AI can’t use the actions to form them. Hopefully you find some use out of this if you’re interested!
