Louvre / Louvre Museum (World Wonder)
– Francis I of France "Architecture is the very mirror of life. You only have to cast your eyes on buildings to feel the presence of the past, the spirit of a place; they are a reflection on society."
– I.M. Pei
Located on the banks of the Seine, the Louvre is one of the most famous landmarks in the Paris city center. Originally built as a defensive castle by Philip II in 1190, the Louvre was later rebuilt and expanded by a number of French kings, transforming it into a gorgeous royal residence. They also collected great works of art from all over the world, like Francis I purchasing the Mona Lisa. After the French Revolution, the revolutionary government opened the Louvre to the public as an art museum. After Napoleon’s accession to the throne, he added the spoils of war from the Napoleonic wars to the Louvre for exhibition. In 1981, the French government initiated the Grande Louvre reconstruction project, including the glass pyramid in the central plaza designed by I.M. Pei. Today, the Louvre Museum is the most visited art museum in the world, stunning visitors from all over the world with its collection of masterpieces created by masters of art and architecture.

- The wonder model has been cropped and recombined with in-game assets to better blend in the game environment of Civilization VI. Still, there are scale issues and occasional "floating assets" that cannot be fixed with conventional means.
- This MOD uses lua to achieve the second district effect, which may cause desync.
