Philippines 2035. The Philippine Government had remained its allegiance with the US and had rejected the advances of the CSAT spread in Asia. With good governance, the Philippines had achieved its goal of modernizing its military through its five phase modernization program, extending the previous three phases of the past administrations. Making the Armed Forces of the Philippines a world-class army capable of defending its territories from both foreign and local threats.

The Terrorists movements in Mindanao had significantly been lowered with the help of Civil and Armed solutions taken by the AFP, while integrating MNLF (Moro National Liberation Front) into their MIndanao Peace Walker Operations (MPWO) and became instrumental with peace negotiations with different clans in the region and acting as Quick Response Teams for the AFP. Though conflict in the region is not over as the remaining members of the BIFF, splinter Groups from MILF, and Maute ISIS had formed the New Islamic Movement or NIM. Creating a new fanatic and extremist movement in the south.

The government forces had captured Joma Sison from his Political Asylum from the Netherlands in the year 2030 by undercover Light Reaction Regiment team that was sent secretly by the government to avoid any authorities with connection with the terrorist leader to intervene. He was sent to Bilibid maximum security prison after his capture. Which resulted in political left leaning parties such as Gabriela, KMU, and Kabataan Partylist to protest in court, though their attempts are futile as the DOJ had numerous witnesses (his former cadres and members of NPA) and evidences that spans through decades. Violent riots was initiated by the left leaning groups and parties in order to free the convicted terrorist leader, but was dispered immediately by security forces by using water cannons and tear gas. The following 2 years, he died when an inmate that had grudge against the terrorist group had stabbed and killed him. With his downfall, the left leaning groups and parties had slowly declined their activities and the recruitment activities of the group had weakend due to the implementation of Reserved Officers Training Courses in colleges since year 2023. The remainng few hidden themselves among the mountain ranges and forests, mostly in Visayas and Mindanao areas. Although it seems that CSAT has a plan for the weakening terrorists groups and their defeat on Tanoa seems to be not the end.

Are the DLCs/CDLCs a "hard requirement"?
No. Although there is ‘PH2035 WS+’ which adds Filipino UNA Forces and assets which requires the WS CDLC and ‘PH2035 EF+’ which adds some items,assets, and units from the EF CDLCs.
