Proficiency Plugin : Support Medic
This is a pure support unit, designed to fulfill the role of the medic while also providing team support via holo-targeters and smoke grenades. To be clear, this is a franken-class mashup of Field Support Officers and base PCP Field Medics. I personally would recommend disabling both of those via Disable Any Class if you run this, but live your own life.
- Level I – Gained at Squaddie (1)
+Supply Run – Using Resupply Ammo or Bandage Throw on an ally grants a movement only action.
+Corpsman – Gain 1 Free Medikit - Level II – Gained at Sergeant (3)
+Low Profile – The soldier treats low cover as high cover.
+Certified CMT – Gain +1 Charge/Medikit and +1 Healing from Medikits - Level III – Gained at Major (6)
+Fleetfood – Gain Shadowstep (Ignore Overwatch Fire), +5 dodge, and the ability to use Emergency Aid’s free action after dashing.
+Field Medic – Gain 2 Charges/Medikit
Logistics Expertise the above pfoiciency perk.
Holotarget uses the Holotargeter secondary weapon.
Triage use remaining medikits to reduce wound times at mission end.
Resupply Ammo blue action to reload an ally’s gun.
Support – Focuses on smoke grenades and other support skills.
Spotter – Focuses on marking enemies through use of the Holotargeter or Battlescanners.
Medic – Focuses on healing allies and related perks.
2-Smokescreen: +1 Free Smoke Grenade. +1 Charges on carried Smoke Grenades.
3-Combat Drugs: Units in your smoke grenade gain +10 aim and critical hit chance.
4-Support Grenadier: Gain a Grenade Pocket. Support Grenades no longer end your turn.
5-Fog Wall: Smoke Grenades give flanked targets a defense value equal to 80% of low cover and equipped Smoke Grenades gain an additional charge.
6-Rapid Deployment: Your next support grenade this turn won’t cost an action.
7-Combat Presence: Spend a blue action to grant an ally one action.
2-Electronic Surveillance: +1 Free Battle Scanner. +1 Charges on carried Battle Scanners.
3-Efficient Targeting: Using your holotargeter is no longer a turn-ending action.
4-Upgraded Scanner: Your battle scanners now give +10% hit and crit against enemy targets.
5-Multitargeting: Cooldown-based ability to Holotarget a group of enemies.
6-Vital Point Targeting: Grants scaling damage and crit chance bonuses with Holotargeter Tier.
7-Coordinated Fire: Shoot an enemy, and then adjacent allies also shoot that enemy.
2-Bandage Throw: Short range blue action to stop bleeding, and heal a small amount of health over time. Scales with Proficiency Park (first tick only) and Medikit tech level.
3-Stimulate: Once/turn clear an adjacent allies mental conditions.
4-Emergency Aid: Free Action to use a Medikit.
5-Antivenom Stims: Small radius immunity to poison, and same (with small cooldown) to remove disorient, panic, stun, and dazed.
6-Regenerative Mist: Smoke Grenades now grant 3 health regeneration at the start of the turn.
7-Combat Stimulants: Use a medikit charge to grant an immediate move action to an ally, +10% to all combat stats, +25% damage resistance, and one free move action/turn for the next 2 turns.
Bandolier: Gain an ammo-only inventory slot.
Medivac: Gain +2 medikit charges for use with Triage.
Phantom: Concealment becomes individual concealment.
Nullifying Mists: Smoke Grenades clear mental statuses and units inside the cloud are immune to them.
Sprint: Gain a movement only action.
Flush’ Em Out: Shoot with +30% chance to hit, -50% damage, force the enemy to reposition.
Tactical Rigging: Gain an inventory slot.
Conceal: Re-enter Concealment.
Riot Control: Gain one free FlashbangGrenade and Smoke Grenade.
Unbreakable: Immune to mental statuses.
The Support Medic has the exact same total stat scaling as the base PCP Field Medic.
Stat Growth @Colonel: 5 HP, 10 aim, 15 will.
All the requirements are hard requirements for the class to function. Reliable Smoke, by default, removes the flanking critical hit bonus for units standing in smoke grenades, and I would highly recommend using it in general, but especially with this mod as the Support Medic’s focus on smoke grenades more or less requires that change.
I don’t like to intrude on other people’s games and make changes that go beyond the scope of my own mod’s core design, but these two changes almost made it into the default configuration of my mod, and I’d recommend them quite highly:
1: Disable Field Medics and Field Supports via Disable Any Class, as this class has tremendous overlap with them.
2: In Rescue Denmother’s XComDenmother.ini file, if you’re disabling those classes, you’ll want to change her starting class from Keeper to Support Medic. That line is already included in this mod, just commented out, so you’ll want to uncomment those lines.
