Ω Extended Tech Tree Mod – Duranium Addon
Addon for Extended Tech Tree Mod. Spawns additional mineable megaroids containing duranium and at least one other resource.
Asteroids spawned by this mod will mostly contain duranium, copper and iron, but some will contain duranium and silver and at least one other resource. The extra asteroids will spawn in asteroid fields and in the asteroid belt. Duranium is a new resource from the Extended Tech Tree Mod, which is why these asteroids need Extended Tech Tree Mod enabled for this mod. Mineable Megaroids is not required for this mod to function, but this mod is designed to be used with it.
It’s safe to enable and disable this add-on mod during your current playthrough, but it needs Extended Tech Tree Mod enabled to function properly as this is not a standalone mod.

What is Duranium? Duranium is a rare silvery metal which is (as of writing) mostly used for making advanced armors. As it is also fairly expensive, it can also be sold to trade stations for some extra cash. As currently making armor is its main purpose, not a lot of duranium is needed and what is build using duranium will save you other resources (like tritanium and diamonds, if you use those armors) which can be spend building something else. Durasteel plates can be made very thin, so each lump of duranium can be smelted down into 2 durasteel plates and 40 durasteel plates can be stored in a single 1×1 storage room where other metal plates have a maximum storage size of 20.

With this mod enabled, Extended Tech Tree Mod will spawn additional mineable megaroids containing duranium.
Roughly speaking there is around 50% chance one or several will spawn in any default asteroid field and a larger number will be guaranteed to spawn inside the asteroid belt.
The number of these asteroids will increase slightly when going into higher tier star systems.
