Coastal Jungle
My second map created using only the game editor.
Like the first it keeps a tropical theme which is shared over two biomes, the coast and the jungle, the coast part includes rather flat terrain, a few trees and rocks serving as cover, cliffs to slow down enemies disembarking from a boat, and trenches.
The jungle part includes ascending terrain, many routes formed by trees and cliffs, vehicles can be taken from almost any angle, or even bypassed completely.
And the two are separated by a small town with a port and a great wall.
The flags are: Coastal Base (Blue Spawn), Trenches, Northern Tower, Southern Tower, Town, Dock, Mountain Road, Treetop, Jungle Base (Red Spawn).
There are a handful of alternative paths for infantry so consider exploring.
As I said above this is my second map and it took me several months to make, it was supposed to be bigger to start with but I was getting tired of fixing a bunches of issues every week so I finished it the way it is.
The map plays well with 128 bots, you can probably go up to 200 but it will become stale quickly.
If you have a config including tall or large vehicles, they will certainly not be able to travel through the entire map, also the bots tend to completely forget about the vehicles when the combat revolves around the wall.
Every now and then they like to go through a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wall, there’s nothing I can do to fix that.
The map is full of navlinks, both for infantry and vehicles, the infantry being able to do parkour on the roofs of the town, and the vehicles to pass over trenches.
Sometimes the bots crouch and hide to capture a flag, they will remain motionless until the flag is captured, truly a Vietnam moment.
I’ll gladly take feedbacks, I already started working on my next map wich will be a Command & Conquer RA3 map.
