It was intentionally designed to benefit from my Level Up mod, which makes medal rewards for scouts a lot more useful.

Goal:

This mod is intended to provide some viable higher level Scout units specifically to leverage the added utility provided by the Level Up mod.
It also allows Scouts to be branched off from the core mod (Core Tier II) to increase modularity of the unit packages.

How it’s implemented:
All Tier I Cultural Scout units have been copied and scaled to equivalent Tier II stats.
Each units’ appearance has been adjusted to make them look slightly more elite (in my opinion) and hopefully visually distinct enough to cue the player on the tier of the unit.
The units still retain the same names of the original Tier I units, but obviously come with a Tier II tag.
AI can recruit the new Tier II units and they will be distributed to the spawn points (on new game).

All Tier II Scout units now have an additional ability named ‘Vision Range’ which provides +2 vision and sensing range, and is displayed in the secondary icons area. This stacks with any other vision range bonuses.
This doesn’t seem like much but when stacked with existing bonuses such as Enchanted Crow Companion, cultural scout bonuses, the Advanced Sensing empire skill, and Racial traits this can make a massive difference to the total detection area of the higher tier Scouts.

Compatibility:

Only the base game is required.
This mod is compatible with all base game Languages.
This mod has its own .rpk and doesn’t modify the base game.
All unit assets and text are copied from the base game.
As such this mod should be compatible with everything.
