German Class 111
The class 111 is an electric locomotive class used by the "Deutsche Bundesbahn" respectively later "Deutsche Bahn". Between 1974 and 1984 there have been built a total of 227 engines. They all were used for all kind of passenger transportation. The last years they were used mostly for regional and local train services. At Rhine and Ruhr the class 111 have been used as "S-Bahn" in the 1980’s. Therefor some engines got a special livery.
