Realistic Fragmentation System
What is this?
Addon that brings ‘realistic’ fragmentation to Garry’s Mod. The new system shoots "bullets" (shrapnel) in all directions, creating chaotic explosions that immerse you in the battlefield.
⚠️WARNING: May cause lag spikes during explosions on older computers
*On my PC with default settings, fragment calculation takes ~0.005 seconds (5ms)
Features
- Customizable fragments – Modify the damage, ammount and type of fragments (traces or bullets)
- Ricochet system – Fragments will bounce off surfaces if they hit at an appropriate angle
- Visible fragments* – Some fragments are now visible as they fly through the air
- Whitelist – Add sounds that trigger explosions (now works in multiplayer)
- Custom sounds – Hear the shrapnel fly by your head!
- Dynamic Weapon Reverb support
*works only with bullets
For developers
You can use:
RFS:CreateShrapnell(int number_of_fragments, vector position, bool isBullets)
to manually create explosion fragments.
