Ultimate Flavor Afghanistan
IMPORTANT NOTE: This comes bundled with my Ultimate Flavor Persia and India mod, so don’t have all three activated at the same time or you will have issues.
This mod reflects the actual situation of Afghanistan in 1836, which did not exist yet. The Durrani empire, which previously held the region, fell apart and split into separate emirates two decades beforehand. Each emirate has their own unique issues that range from succession crises, power hungry viziers, and tyrannical shahs. Can you reunify the region under one of the historical emirates? Only unified, will Afghanistan stand a chance to survive The Great Game between Russia and Great Britain.
- Afghanistan is now made up of 4 states instead of 2. Uzbekia has 3 instead of 1. Kalat and Makran are their own states instead of them sharing 1 split state.
- Starting resources, state traits, and pops are more accurate.
- A Historical tag for certain journal entries and events for those that want to follow history.
- Each emirate starts with the “Unify Afghanistan” AI strategy, which is based off the “Unify Ethiopia” AI strategy that is used for extra aggression between the Ethiopian states. So don’t’ be surprised if one of the emirates tries to conquer you within the first year of gameplay.
- Unique starting journal entries for each emirate in the Afghanistan region. Many historical characters have been added to each as well.
- Intricate system for Persia and all of Central Asia for The Great Game. As well as alt-history branching paths you can choose to deal with it as Afghanistan.
- ”Graveyard of Empires” journal entries and random events to help win wars of independence from the Great Powers.
- New formable of Greater Khorasan.
- More claims in the region and the states surrounding them.
- Jizya tax is a law and all Muslim countries start with it (don’t be surprised if the papal states enacts this lol)
- Afghanistan can have different names depending on which Emirate forms it.
- And so much more!
This is the second of my Ultimate Flavor series of mods. I’m going to be working on the other countries in the Middle-Eastern region as stand alone mods, but with each previous mod bundled with the new one. All this culminating in one giant mod that has flavor for every country in the Middle-East. The next one after this will be Arabia.
I want a flavor mod for every country/region. To do that, I need help. The biggest thing I need are modders. Anyone else who would like to make suggestions for content, do research, or anything else would also be appreciated. Highly doubtful this will work with any overhaul mods as I change A LOT of history files. Anything that changes starting building setup, starting pops, state traits and locations, characters for Persia, religion, Middle-Eastern countries, Central Asian countries, starting states, and AI that involves diplomacy and attitude towards other countries will cause issues with my mod. The important thing is that it works with Anbeeld’s Revision of AI.
