Goal:

Magelocks are the TII ranged units for the Reaver culture, and while powerful with armor piercing shots, their damage output is pretty unreliable due to their need to stand still to shoot.
They also have what seems like the benefit of long range however, their optimal range is still 3; the same as most other ranged troops, meaning those 5 range shots are taken at -50% accuracy making them basically useless.
Their take aim ability partially makes up for these weaknesses, but also forces you to waste a turn to mark a unit, which is arguably a pretty weak ability for a TII unit to use a whole turn on.

This mod aims to make Magelocks a little more useful by allowing them to mark enemies and shoot in the same turn. This gives them a little boost in accuracy on long range shots and provides them a little more utility to make up for a lot of inactivity when moving to get into range.

Compatibility:
This mod makes the Magelock ‘Take Aim’ ability a free action useable once per turn that doesn’t end in defense mode, allowing Magelock’s to Aim & Fire in a single turn.
This change is made in the Upgrades_Cultures_UnitProperties_EmpiresAndAshes.rpk.

As such this mod will only affect the Magelock unit itself and any units that use the Magelock – Property Group or Magelock Take Aim – Ability, which will be any mod that also overhauls the Magelock.

Empires & Ashes DLC is required.
This mod is compatible with all base game Languages.
