Description:
That autopsy report is outdated, Your Honor.

Miles Edgeworth, the main Prosecutor from the Ace Attorney series and main character of his spin-off games, the Investigations series, arrives in Rivals of Aether in his pursuit of truth and logic!

Though he hails from the same series as Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice, due to being a prosecutor, Edgeworth sports a completely different playstyle from his peers from the opposite side of the courtroom, making use of his iconic abilities from the Investigations games, such as Logic Deduction and Mind Chess!

Special Moves

FSpecial – Logic Deduction:
Edgeworth doesn’t always need evidence to arrive to a logical conclusion, that’s where his Logic Deduction comes into play! By using FSpecial, Edgeworth spawns a cursor in front of him, which he can use to move it around. When you let go of the Special Button, Edgeworth creates a Logic Piece! Edgeworth can create 2 types of Logic Pieces, a temporary one on whiff and a permanent one when hitting a target (like an opponent or one of your assistants).

NSpecial – Mind Chess:
Bringing his powers from the "Chess Dimension", Edgeworth cycles through a variety of chess pieces, which all have different atributes and strengths. You can either throw the piece or keep its charge for later.
Pawn: The weakest one, the pawn causes little damage and travels for a short distance.
Knight: Has moderate damage and speed, it boomerangs back after a short while.
Bishop: Great speed, but it can only be thrown diagonally, either upwards or downwards (when pressing down).
Rook: A much better version of the pawn, it travels forward with great speed, power and range.
Queen: This one shoots 3 pieces at once, one forward and the other two diagonally up and down.
King: The most powerful one, it brings a lot of power and even stuns the opponent, however is it’s also very slow.
All Mind Chess pieces can be thrown into Logic Pieces to make them explode after a short while!

USpecial – Gumshoe’s Raise:
As a thanks for his salary not getting cut down, the reliable detective, Dıck Gumshoe, appears to give Edgeworth a raise! Gumshoe appears and picks Edgeworth up before throwing him upwards! Edgeworth can move around during said throw as well.
Gumshoe can be interacted with Edgeworth’s previous mentioned specials as well! With FSpecial you can create a permanent "Gumshoe Logic Piece", and if you throw a Chess Piece at him, he’ll throw said chess piece upwards as well!
Reminder that you can tap the Shield button to cancel Gumshoe’s throw, that way spawning him much quicker for logic setups.

DSpecial – Eureka:
Edgeworth has an epiphany and shouts "Eureka!" Creating a stunning hitbox around himself, great for extending combos and string! However, that’s not the main use of this move. By using DSpecial, Edgeworth triggers all Logic Pieces on the stage! Creating a powerful stunning hitbox for each one of them! Doing this can change Edgeworth’s DSpecial for the next time he uses it, but how exactly? If you hit an opponent with any Logic Piece DSpecial trigger, the DSpecial will change depending on the number of Logic Pieces that were present during the Eureka attack! Which are as follow:
1. Hold It: The Hold It attack sports good range and a powerful stunning hitbox, which makes it very easy to combo into more powerful attacks!
2. Take That: The Take That attack is a powerful and very fast launcher, use this at the end of your combo to really send your opponents flying!
3. Objection: The most powerful one, Objection sports huge range, power and even stunning properties, with this attack Edgeworth can easily pass on his judgment and reach his Prosecutor’s Path!
Be sure to check Edgeworth’s HUD indicator to keep track of his DSpecial variation.

Other Notable Moves

FStrong – The Great Yagatarasu: Edgeworth’s quirky assistant, Kay Faraday, appears to deliver two powerful kicks to anyone in their path! Just like Gumshoe, Kay can also be used to create a permanent Logic Piece as well as sending a Mind Chess piece forward!
UStrong – Little Thief: Kay lends Edgeworth her handy Little Thief! By using it, Edgeworth creates a large holographic pillar in front of himself! Edgeworth can also slightly move the pilar around before summoning it
Jab Cancel: Edgeworth’s Jab is his double finger waggle, however you can cancel the first hit into any of Edgeworth’s Tilt attacks!
