Syrcub

As Christmas Eve passes and Christmas Morning rises, Santa was here to bring only the sweetest of gifts for this time of year!

Syrcub, the Snacksolotl, joins Rivals of Aether as part of the Rivals 2 Workshop contest! Enjoy their sticky combos, glaze coated gimmick and other sweet surprises misu misu and I put into this sugar-filled amphibian.
The syrup Syrcub consists of is the extracted resin from large maple trees in the Aetherian forest. Which makes him an earth elemental.

Syrcub spits out candies, which land and bounce on the floor. Doing attacks next to them enhances the power behind them!

Syrcub turns into a motorcycle and drives forwards. It’s fast and can be canceled on the ground or into a jump after hitting an enemy or after a short while. Watch out for the wheelie they will do when absorbing a candy!

Syrcub turns into a small cannon and launches themselves upwards. Good recovery option, but also very predictable and laggy

Syrcub blows a bubble and walks around with it. They can’t turn around with and is slower than normal, but they can reposition candies with it!

This nasty tongue lick can absorb candies and store it for the next move afterwards!

With this move Syrcub can reach even the furthest over places! Simple hold either left or right after starting DTilt to move the hand closer or farther away! But it only works while the hand is on ground, after all.

Syrcub turns into a giant balloon. Holding down the button lets you float around for longer, even bouncing of enemies and the floor!

Charge up a spin with both arms, and move around after! The longer you charge, the longer the move lasts, the more you can move around. Just… watch you don’t take off.

Syrus was a pastry chef, who owned a candy store in the treetops of the aetherian forrest.
He used the resin he extracted from trees to create syrup and sweets.

One day while stirring the syrup he slipped and fell into the vat containing the syrup.

Once he managed to climb out of the vat of syrup, Syrus noticed his body became gelatinous.
Quickly he wrapped a candywrapper around his head to keep it in place.

Apparently his body had become one with the syrup. His body adapted to it. he seemed to be fine.
This turned out to be irreversable so Syrus embraced it and renamed himself Syrcub.

Syrcub is still a pastry chef and loves to serve his customers so that hasn’t changed.
Syrcub now has a diet that strictly consists out of candies and he developed a love for taking long baths in syrup.
