Echoes of Emperors
Hi, and welcome to Echoes of Emperors, an alternate history mod.
This alternate universe starts with the premise of different viking adventures in Europe, and expands from there, although there is no precise lore (for now!).
So what is there interesting to do?
A few starting positions that i made interesting are:
-West Francia, now reduced to just two provinces, starts with a very strong government reform that allows it to conquer their provinces back quickly. Be careful though, should you fail, the country will collapse
-Venice, a merchantile republic in a strong position to explore the world and become a colonial superpower
-Latin Empire, expand your way to catholic dominance in the Near East
-East Francia, starting as the Holy Roman Emperor, you have a powerful mission tree of 16 missions to reform the Carolingian Empire
-Malta, starting in a very easy war against Sicily, conquer your way back up the Italian peninsula
-Jerusalem, utilize the special "Crusader Kingdom" abilities to manage your realm and conquer all of the holy land
-Danelaw: unify the British Isles under viking rule
You may also experiment in interesting positions such as Italy or northern Poland with the crusading orders, it’s up to you.
