Description:
Grooving to the beat of the Earth’s rhythm!

The flower who grants plants power. Sunflower from Plants vs Zombies! Or PvZ.

Sunflower is a somewhat more defensive character that relies on creative projectile usage to gain the upper hand.

Sun Mechanic

Through the usage of Neutral Special, Sunflower generates Sun. Sun can be used to enhance certain attacks, along with being used for Forward Special and Down Special.

Once Sunflower starts generating Sun, she can still act completely normally while it is generating.

( Use training mode cheats to turn on infinite Sun and test around with it. )

You can tell if an attack is enhancable via Sun if the hud glows yellow for a second.
Press Special while it is glowing for the enhancment to take effect.

Grounded Attacks

Jab A quick headbutt that can be canceled into tilts on the first hit. If the attack button is double tapped quickly at the start, will transition into a quick multi hit. All of these hits afterwards also generate Sun when they hit someone.

FTilt
A further reaching headbutt which can be angled up, down, or in the middle. The downward angle can only be performed when on a platform or on the edge of a stage.
For 10 Sun, Sunflower will shoot a small projectile based on the angle she is facing.

UTilt
A 2 hitting, somewhat laggy attack upward, that greatly increases in size after a bit of time. This attack also protects Sunflower from most projectiles decently.

DTilt
Quick and lingering root stab, not a very big move, but can function as a good ‘get off me’ in some situations.

DAttack
A quick multi hit spin that jumps a little at the end. If the attack button is held, the jump will be higher. If timed correctly, this attack can be done offstage, and be a good approaching multi hit.

FStrong
Using solar energy, Sunflower slowly charges up a huge and powerful blast straight forward. For 150 Sun, the start up time for this attack will be greatly reduced.

UStrong Turning into a Twin Sunflower, Sunflower attacks both sides above her, and launches opponents based on which side of her they are on.

DStrong While charging up a Sunbomb, Sunflower can hold left or right to throw the Sunbomb in that direction. The Sunbomb is a slow moving multhit projectile that can be used for stalling or setting up a hit into it.

For 125 Sun, Sunflower will throw a Sunbomb in both directions.

Aerial Attacks

NAir
A quick 2 hit leaf slap that can likely be canceled into another attack by fast falling.

UAir
Turning into a Primal Sunflower, Sunflower performs an overhead swing, this move has a sour spot on her petals, but the move is still good at juggling people.

FAir
A Frontward petal sweep in the air that also covers the area beneath Sunflower.

For 30 Sun, Sunflower will shoot a projectile in 3 different angles in front of her.

DAir
Going into a pot, Sunflower slams the pot downwards, spiking opponents, while having a sour spot on top.
This attack is decently laggy, but if you miss the first hit, a weaker later hit comes out after.

For 25 Sun, if none of the move hits. Holding special will cause Red Sun to fall out of the pot. A slow lingering projectile that can useful when trying to land or attacking off stage.

BAir
A slow but large and disjointed attack backwards, this attack also has a later sweet spot at the tip of her leaves at the end.

Special Attacks

NSpecial
The essential special in Sunflower’s move. Produces Sun without halting her movement at all. If carefully timed, can also allow her turn around the in air too. You can tell if Sunflower is generating Sun if she is glowing yellow with particles above her, and the Sun in her HUD is spinning faster.

USpecial
A short flaming burst upward that hits multiple times on the way up.

If shield is pressed during the start, the attack will cancel early.

For 175 Sun, If special is held at the end of USpecial, Sunflower will not enter pratfall, and can do whatever move they want again. Even another USpecial.

Also, if you ever are in pratfall and have the 175 Sun, you can cancel pratfall into USpecial.

FSpecial
A projectile that you actually don’t want to hit enemies with. For 50 Sun, Sunflower shoots a healing projectile, which you can hit yourself with. The grounded version heals 4 %, and the air version deals 3 %.

The air version boost Sunflower a bit in the air, but only has 1 usage per airtime, unless you walljump.

DSpecial

Grows a Magnifying Grass for 50 Sun. This plant will interact with all of Sunflower’s projectiles. In particular
– Ftilt
– Fair
– Dair
– Fstrong
– Dstrong
– Fspecial

Use Magnifying Grass to make some creative plays.

Other

Sunflower has a full set of Runes, Munophone, and a Final Smash.
