Campaign Difficulty Handicaps Effects Expansion and Enhancement Mod

Reworked, optimised and tested thoroughly
Compatible with any other mod or overhaul

Submod and stand alone version of "Radious – Very Hard Campaign Overhaul" – Do not subscribe if you are already subscribed to that overhaul (this mod is adjusted to vanilla). It is a perfect combination to use it with "AI" and "Diplomacy" mod.

In vanila (original game) around 30 different handicap effects decides how much effort you as a player going to put into your campaign. I consider it very important aspect of the game because before we start new campaign there is only that one decision that can not be changed during the game. Sometimes we play the game and in the middle we starting to regret that choice. It’s really a catastrophe when countless hours or even days are lost and we realise that the game is just too easy or impossible to finish.
My goal with this modification is to make this choice more meaningful and easy. When I choose Normal I want AI to receive as little bonuses as possible but some bonuses are needed due to the design of this game’s engine. When I choose Very Hard I want this campaign to be as realistic and as bloody as possible; conquering another settlement supposed to be hard, strategically planned and most importantly difficult undertaking. When I play Easy I want my AI enemies to fear me and respect me in first few years of my empire growth. Legendary difficulty should basically be for very experienced players in the campaign as well as in battle. I have never considered myself very experienced total war player but I’ve seen stories of people owning this game on Legendary without much effort. If you know someone like this, let them know about this mod!
In this mod I have added many more extra effects that have impact on AI as well as player. Most of those bonuses are very marginal and easy difficulty even has penalties for AI. Some effects from vanila (especially those visible) has been toned down for Ai to improve realism and fairplay feel of the game and some new bonuses gives AI some advantage in areas where player normally excel but AI is very limited and too slow to adapt, not being able to understand the situation.
