Professional Armies
This mod, created as a part of the Modathon 2024, reworks the army and warfare mechanics in a way that is friendly and easy to learn for the player by avoiding flooding the game with dozens of new mechanics, while still aiming to make it feel fresh and enjoyable!
Core Features:
– Army Doctrines: let you pick the way of building your army. Whether you want to make the largest army in the world, or maybe a smaller but very disciplined one, or maybe even focus on mercenaries, you can choose the way you like the most!
– Unit Professionalization: lets you spend your army experience to permanently boost a single unit type, further expanding your army specialization choices!
– Temporary boosts: if you are fighting a difficult war, you can spend your army experience to make it a bit easier with short-time, but sizable buff!
– Army Professionalism replaced with Army Experience, a new currency-style variable which gives no boosts, but allows you to utilize the core features of Professional Armies!
– Military Academy building, which allows you to increase your Army Experience gain!
– Army Doctrines synergy with the military idea groups you take – completing a certain idea group will further boost your army doctrine!
– High war exhaustion is now more punishing, weakening your army and giving you additional reason to end a long-lasting war as soon as possible!

This mod is NOT ironman/achievement compatible! For the best experience with Professional Armies, Cradle of Civilization DLC is highly recommended.
