Description:

Expands the bonuses of the Gifted Casters Society Trait.

– Your Battle Mage and Support units can use their innate arcane talents to modify their magical abilities by expending Arcane Energy.

– Develop the Metamagic Aptitude of your people by investing Imperium in the Empire Tree, and by achieving various Arcane Feats.

– Apply one of five Shapes to change the area affected by spells.

– Use one of five Essences to amplify various aspects of spell effects.

– Turn your offensive spells into weapon enchantments, and your defensive spells into auras.

– Tap into your people’s affinity for magic to more easily generate Mana and other resources.

===================== Compatibility and known issues:=======================

The mod changes every affected (i.e. ‘Malleable’) unit ability, as well as the respective cultural and wildlife unit rows. Tome unit rows are not modified. Mods that change these units may or may not be compatible, depending on implementation. Other changes are contained mostly to the mod’s files.

To enable changing the abilities’ targeters (i.e. Shapes), the ‘Move and cast’ feature has been turned off for the ones for which it was enabled in vanilla, such as Soothing/Bulwark Standard and Wail of the Banshee. This does not impact their functionality, but means you need to select another ability before moving the unit. This is already the way many abilities work in vanilla, but is slightly inconvenient in some cases.
