Although designated a light tank by the Italian Army, its turretless configuration, weight and firepower make it closer to contemporary tankettes. It was the most numerous Italian armoured fighting vehicle and saw service almost everywhere the Italians fought in World War II but proved inadequate for modern warfare, having too thin armour and weak armament of only machine guns. However, given its low production costs, proved to be efficient in the Second Italo-Abyssinian War, Spanish Civil War and the Greco-Italian War where it provided reliable support to Italian infantry and disrupted enemy lines.
3 variants:
- L3/35 -> x2 8mm Breda mg
- L3/35 CC -> 20mm AT rifle
- L3/35 LF-> 13mm Breda mg, Flamethrower -> I’m aware AI needs some tweaking
-> When shooting any of the 4 main track wheels (check images) with any AT or heavy damage weapon, both acceleration and speed will decrease incrementally by 25% up to 27% of its original value when all 4 of them are destroyed
Scripted features:
- Working lights (press T to toggle them ON/OFF), set ON by default when playing on night maps, compatible with Lezvin’s amazing night/day cycle mutator (here)
