AGOT: Alternative History – Azlar Heritage
Unconventional and non-canonical addition to the CK3AGOT which aims to provide an extra cultural variety. Azlar cultural heritage is somewhat reminiscent of Daco-Romanian, Slavic, Baltic or even Basque peoples’ background, marked by centuries of assimilation and invasions. Prevailing stoic attitude and stubbornness are recurring determinants of this cultural milieu. The remoteness of woodland habitats, mobile pastoralism and freedom-fighting brigandage ensured the survival and thriving of some Azlar communities, so you are given the opportunity to customize starting ruler by choosing between two variations of Azlar culture, an assortment of physical appearances related to specially forged ethnicity, and personal and dynastic names very different from others.
Features:
A brand new cultural heritage and distinct cultural pillars: Azlar
Two new cultures: Black Azlar (recommended for northern part of the map, due to winter climate aesthetics) and Red Azlar (preferably for southern parts, differentiated by mild climate aesthetics). In these cultures, colors represent the cardinal directions.
New ethnicity: Azlar physical features include tall stature and delicate nose more frequently than other Westerosi ethnicities.
New name list: Azlar female names (e.g. Trabozlara, Dorana, Dorma, Golezlara, Golena, Golerma, Voruvila), Azlar male names (e.g. Trabozlar, Traboz, Trabozet, Vordan, Vorukir, Voruvir, Voruzlar), Azlar dynasties names (e.g. Abaranor, Omarel, Bretizlaret, Dirovilet).
New cultural Men-at-Arms: Skirmishers called Haidouk Stalkers seem like hajduks, klephtes, uskoks, cossacks or fedayeen.
