Minor Title Improvements

Ever thought that it was a bit weird that almost every culture around the world called their lords ‘dukes’? Ever annoyed that you newly anointed Christian Avaria was still called a ‘Khanate’? Ever wonder why your character was the Shahanshah but your wife was just an Empress?

Well worry no more for this mod seeks to fix these issues and more!

MTI adds a number of new titles for rulers of different cultures and ranks. Current improvements include:

(Note; Most title changes only apply to non-tribal rulers)

– Greek kingdoms now called a ‘Despotate’, Greek queens now titled ‘Despotess’, Greek empresses now titled ‘Basilissa’, Greek duchesses now titled ‘Doukissa’, and Greek duchies now called a ‘Theme’.

– Israellite Merchant Republic dukes now titled ‘Nagid’, Israelite Merchant Republic kings now titled ‘Nasih’, and Israelite Merchant Republic emperors now titled ‘Nasih HaNesi’im’.

– Persian empresses now titled ‘Shahbanu’.

– Avar kingdoms now called a ‘Kingdom’, Avar kings now titled ‘King’, Avar queens now titled ‘Queen’, Avar empires now called an ‘Empire’, Avar emperors now titled ‘Emperor’, and Avar empresses now titled ‘Empress’.

– Cuman kingdoms now called a ‘Kingdom’, Cuman kings now titled ‘King’, Cuman queens now titled ‘Queen’, Cuman empires now called an ‘Empire’ when feudal, Cuman emperors now titled ‘Emperor’, and Cuman empresses now titled ‘Empress’.

– Irish, Welsh and Pictish kings now titled ‘High King’, and Irish, Welsh and Pictish queens now titled ‘High Queen’

– Vlach kings now titled ‘Domnitor’, Vlach queens now titled ‘Domnitora’, Vlach dukes now titled ‘Voivode’, and Vlach duchies now called a ‘Voivodate’.

– Armenian dukes now titled ‘Prince’, Armenian duchesses now titled ‘Princess’, and Armenian duchies now called a ‘Principality’.

– Assyrian dukes now titled ‘Rabshakeh’.

– Arabic emperors now titled ‘Grand Sultan’

– Norse kings now titled ‘Konungr’

– Arberian kingdoms now called a ‘Mbretëri’, Arberian kings now titled ‘Mbret’, Arberian queens now titled ‘Mbretëreshë’, Arberian dukes now titled ‘Dukë’, Arberian duchies now called a ‘Dukat’, Arberian emperors now titled ‘Perandor’. Arberian empresses now titled ‘Perandoreshë’, and Arberian empires now called a ‘Perandori’.

– South Slavic counts now titled ‘Boyar’, and South Slavic counties now called a ‘Boyardom’.

– Ethiopian kings now titled ‘Negus’, and Ethiopian queens now titled ‘Nigist’.

– Bulgarian kings now titled ‘Tsar’, and Bulgarian queens now titled ‘Tsaritsa’.

– Russian kingdoms now called a ‘Grand Principality’, Russian duchies now called a ‘Principality’, Russian counties now called a ‘Minor Principality’, Russian kings now titled ‘Grand Knyaz’, Russian queens now titled ‘Grand Knyaginya’, Russian dukes now titled ‘Knyaz’, Russian duchesses now titled ‘Knyaginya’, Russian counts now titled ‘Junior Knyaz’, and Russian countess’ now titled ‘Junior Knyaginya’.

– Dutch Merchant Republic kings now titled ‘Stadhouder’, Dutch emperors now titled ‘Keizer’, Dutch empresses now titled ‘Keizerin’, Dutch kings now titled ‘Koning’, Dutch queens now titled ‘Koningin’, Dutch dukes now titled ‘Hertog’, Dutch duchesses now titled ‘Hertogin’, Dutch count now titled ‘Graaf’, and Dutch countess’ now titled ‘Gravin’.

– Bohemian emperors now titled ‘Císar’, Bohemian empresses now titled ‘Císarovna’, Bohemian kings now titled ‘Král’ Bohemian queens now titled ‘Královna’, Bohemian dukes now titled ‘Kníže’, Bohemian duchesses now titled ‘Knežna’, Bohemian counts now titled ‘nižší Kníže’, and Bohemian countess’ now titled ‘nižší Knežna’.
