HEROES OF LEGEND – ASTRA MILITARUM EDITION Part II (New Heroes)
This mod adds new heroic units for the Astra Militarum.

Compatible with Too Many Voices, you must use this patch.
Compatible with Gladius+, you must use this patch.
The Engineers can now use Meltabomb (unlocked with the Kraken Bolts research) to deal great damage against fortification and Gaz canister grenades (unlocked with the Improved Frag Casings) to deals great damage against infantry and vehicle.
Enginseer Bylam Osiron and the Dead Man’s Hand Squadron are from the novel Cadian Blood by Aaron Dembsky-bowden.
Steel Tread is armed, alongside with the Demolisher cannon, a lascannon and two heavy bolters (after research). The bonus armor vehicle research give the Track Guard trait that grant two armor.

Skills :
- 1st Mordian infantry deployment : Vargrif deploys a Mordian Shock Infantry that specialize in urban warfare and melee.
- 2nd Fear the Astra Militarum ! : Restores the morale of allied infantry and reduces that of nearby enemy infantry."
- 3rd Ingrained Precision : IIncreases accuracy and penetration of Vargrif’s laspistol
- Elite Fire on my position ! : Bombardment on and around the hero who makes no distinction.
Traits :
- Into the fray ! : Grants morale, an action and additional movement to the targeted infantry. If equipped with a melee weapon, it gains damage.
- Careful planning : Reduces upkeep of nearby infantry.
- Welcome to the Iron Guard : Transforms Guards squads into Mordian Infantry.
- Mordian Iron Guard : Mordians resist morale loss and deals more attacks when fighting in outposts, ruins, or cities. They gain these bonuses against targets that are in the same areas.
Role : Lone Wolf/Real Hero
Research needed : Extra Infantry Armour (Tier 5)
Skills :
- 1st Hero of the Imperium : Sly generates loyalty as he levels up (1-3 per level).
- 2nd Hidden Ambush : Sly deals more damage during overwatch.
- 3rd Sabotage : Sly sabotages a vehicle or monstrous creature which will take more damage, lose movement, and overheat.
- Elite Air Support Deployment Authorization : Sly can call in air support units.
Traits :
- One Man Army : Sly can frequently come back to life if killed.
- Deployment of Jungle Fighters : Your choice, Flamer or Shotgun. They’ll share same trait with Sly.
- Deployment of Jungle Fighters : Your choice, Flamer or Shotgun. They’ll share same trait with Sly.
- Deployment of Vulture Gunship : Swift Valkyrie specialized against infantry with less cargo.
- Deployment of Vandetta Gunship : Heavy Valkyrie specialized against armored target with less cargo.
- Welcome to the Jungle Fighters : Transforms Guardsmen into Jungle Fighters.
- Heads down ! : The unit gains resistance to ranged damage.
- Catachan Jungle Fighter : Catachan Jungle Fighter takes less melee damage, have better overwatch, and gain stealth and control zone immunity while in a forest.
- Hunter-Commando : atachan Jungle Fighter deals more damage against neutral or Orks.
- Mount Up ! : Catachan Jungle Fighter gains buffs when exiting a vehicle.
- Like Fighting a Shadow : Sly can move after attacking and becomes more durable if he is far from allies.
The Catachan Jungle Fighter can use their Catachan Fang for a melee attack. Sly use his own poisoned sword instead.
Role : Support
Research needed : Primaris Psyker (Tier 2)
Skills :
- 1st Psychic Barrier : Generates a barrier on Glavia’s tile and adjacent tiles that grants ranged damage reduction. Glavia is stunned during the effect.
- 2nd Smite : Psychic blast that slow down targets, effective against infantry, cover and untopped vehicles.
- 3rd Telepathy : Glavia generates influence and gains sight when using this ability on a target. The target will lose morale.
- Elite Nightshroud : Upon activation, affected allied units no longer trigger overwatch for a certain period of time.
Traits :
- Mental Shackles : Glavia converts broken or shaken enemies or stun for a long duration.
- Divination : Glavia reveals a large area around her.
- Telekinesis : Glavia gives more movement to a unit (more for infantry, less for vehicles) and reduce the movement penalty in ruin and forest.
- Vengeance for Cadia : This unit deals more damage against Chaos units.
- Warp Corruption : Glavia will suffer damages each time she uses a psychic ability.

Role : Ranged DPS/Morale healer
Research needed : Leman Russ Battle tanks (Tier 6)
Skills :
- 1st Speakers : Obadiah passively restores morale to nearby allies.
- 2nd Rock the music ! : Obadiah restores morale to nearby allies, more effective against broken or shaken targets.
- 3rd Master of Camouflage : Obadiah gains resistance to ranged damage as he does not move.
- Elite Beast Hunter Shells : Obadiah applies his tank hunter bonuses to monstrous creatures.
Traits :
- Charge the enemy ! : Obadiah increases the movement and resistance of allies within range.
- Meticulous Calibrator : Obadiah temporarily increases his accuracy.
- Veteran Commander : Obadiah increases the accuracy of close tank hunters.
- Elite Tank Hunter : Obadiah deals more damage to vehicles but receives more damage from them. If he doesn’t move, his Vanquisher cannon gains range and accuracy.
- Death is for idiots ! : Obadiah deals more damage and loses less morale as his health drops.
