You’ve set sail upon uncharted shores to establish a new village. Though it seems the undead legions of these lands have other ideas..

Word of your settlement will reach passing adventurers as long as your villagers stay positive! Keep your Approval Rating above zero to attract adventurers to your village. The higher your Approval, the more visitors you’ll have!

You can Develop certain buildings to increase the effectiveness of your villagers, improve their tools and weapons, or enhance their salesmanship through trade routes!

Woodcutter’s Lodge upgrade increases the efficiency of your woodworking, reducing cost on additional structures and creating more effective longships.
(unlocks Amenities and Shipbuilding)

Forge upgrade enhances your smith’s ability to work steel, outfitting your Warchiefs and Villagers with improved weapons and tools.
(unlocks Legendary Heroes and Spare Tools)

House upgrade improves the hearth in the homes of your villagers, reducing their resource consumption and offering them a sense of security when Warchiefs are nearby.
(unlocks Hearthstone and Feeling Safe)

Trading Post upgrades provides your the ability Merchants to locate and trade with nearby factions, further increasing their salesmanship.
(unlocks Coinage and Discover Jottun)

Sheepfold upgrade provides higher yields of meat and wool from your sheep, boosting the demand for your trade goods.
(unlocks Trading Caravan and Fur Coats)

Your Reputation will invite Warchiefs to assist your village. Besides being powerful warriors, Warchiefs increase the Approval Rating of your village.

If you acquire enough Influence, the mighty Halvard will come to your defense! Halvard is a formidable Hero and seasoned commander that knows the weaknesses of the undead.

The nearby Jottun can be called upon to help aid you in your battle against the Draugr! After you’ve proven your Allegiance (Food Trade), the faction will send Blainn to help you!

Some buildings require other structures nearby before they can begin construction!

Taverns requires wheat and barley for brewing.

Marketplaces can’t operate without a source of trade goods.
(requires Trading Post)

Houses must be built within the safety of the main tile.
(requires Town Hall)

Feasts benefit your village in a multitude of ways! Besides the production bonus, they also increase your Approval Rating for their duration and boost your Reputation!

Guardian Military Path is the way to go! It will increase your experience gains during undead attacks, offer you free upgrades to your towers, and give you the ability to turn your villagers into militia to further bolster your defense!

Your village may or may not be built over an Ancient Graveyard. There seems to be a small chance that fallen defenders rise again as Draugr! All the more reason to keep your villagers safe.

There are three primary ways to increase your Approval Rating. Though expensive, you can build a Tavern. You can also maintain a Great Trade Route, gaining influence to recruit Halvard as an added bonus. Lastly, the security offered by a House upgrade will come in handy when Warchiefs join your village.
