Description:

This is a mod pack to add more item variety for weapons and equipment alike, seamlessly implemented into vanilla’s balance and art style.

The new items can be obtained through different means depending on the item in particular. Some can be crafted straight away, some require talents to unlock the recipe. Others can be unique loot from wrecks and ruins, maybe even from a station event. Hostile NPCs even have the chance to spawn with some of the added weapons, varying depending on what faction they belong to.

While this is technically a combination of 3 existing mods of mine, the biggest difference between this and them is that this mod integrates many of the items into the vanilla talent pool, intentionally targeting lackluster talents to give them a bit more allure.

This mod should work when added into an existing campaign, and should unlock items based on talents you already got just fine.

For in depth details in all the items added check these guide:(Working on an updated one including the associated talents and new changes, but these old ones still ring true in the vast majority of cases)

The original mods are still available for download if you want individual ones or just dont like the talent implementation:

Some content from those mods were cut for this release to reduce bloat, you can find them here:

I am completely open to discussion in the comments or discussions tab (less character limit). So if you have any bug reports, balance takes, questions or whatever, I’ll try my best to answer.

I made this mod as I simply wanted more item options for barotrauma, but found that a lot of mods that already do this tend to be overtuned, making them objectively superior to vanilla items or dont look like they belong in the world this game takes place in.
While obviously by the nature of this being a mod its not vanilla, I have put a good amount of effort into making sure things remain vanilla-like.
For better or worse I will continue to try to replicate this vanilla aspect for any updates the game continues to receive that will prompt me to update this mod.
