2012 Chevrolet Camaro
5th Gen Camaro with 8 configs including all 4 trim levels and 4 custom builds. All the LS3 and LSA (LS3 supercharged) engines have a variety of engine covers with air intake included. While you can install different engines they do not have associated engine covers. I’ve included a few liveries including Bumblebee version from first Transformers. If you have QolMod installed, the street custom has ACTUAL ground affects lighting that is activated when you turn on the head lights.
SS – V8 LS3 fully loaded.
SS Street Custom – Street drag version with LS3 supercharged engine and bunch of bonus parts
SS V10 – Along with a viper V10 engine are included side pipe exhaust and viper wheels.
SS AWD Drag – Ultimate drag version with bunch of bonus parts.
ZL1 – LSA engine with carbon fiber hood vents and other ZL1 stylings.
LT – V6 fully loaded.
LS – Most basic version of Camaro with V6
SS Old School – Retro fitted with old school, classic parts and look; including a supercharged carbureted 351 engine with blower sticking through the hood, solid rear axel, 2nd gen Camaro wheels, ducktail spoiler, side pipes, and some other parts. I added some other classic carbureted swap engines as well (you’ll have to use other hoods).
* All configs can be found in Junkyard, Auction, Barn, Salon, Phone Jobs (level 20).
- The LS3 supercharged engines require Drag DLC.
- V10 config requires Dodge DLC.
- ZL1 requires Jaguar DLC required for exhaust.
- For the AWD Drag config, to fully use the LSA and other AWD (4×4) engines for this build you will need TK Aftermarket mod. Can find this at https://www.nexusmods.com/carmechanicsimulator2021/mods/143. You can still build this car with the regular supercharged LS3, there will just be a gap where the transfer case would go.
If you have QoLMod mod installed, for the Street Custom and AWD Drag configs, it is easiest to find/buy the cars directly as all bonus parts come installed by default as compared to breaking down a car to the bare frame and changing the config as the bonus parts won’t be there initially. Otherwise you can look at the pics above to see their placement and here is a list of each bonus part and its location:
- Street Custom: Boost Gauge on driver side A pillar. Nitro Switch B on front dash. In back – Double Subwoofer, 2 Boss Amplifiers, and Seat Screen B. In trunk 2 NOS. Under the car, 4 blue neon tubes – one in front and back, and one on each side.
- AWD Drag: On front dash – Davis Profiler and Racepak Dash Display. On center console – Speed Shifter, Switchpanel, and Airshift Bottle. Electronic in the back. On trunk Spoiler 2B or "bonus_trunk_spoiler_2_1" as it is listed in the car editor.
- Old School Supercharged: Niki Blake in passenger seat from Jackyl’s "Clients – People" bonus part pack.
* Of course none of these are required to build the car but they just make it look alot better and go with the theme of each config.
- A template, for liveries, can be found in the workshop folder.
- There are a few parts, such as back window break light and trunk battery storage hatch, that may be easy to miss. Especially back window break light as it is required to be installed before the back window. If you look in the body shop almost all parts have a description with their Image.
- The "QoLMod" and "TK Aftermarket" mods mentioned above are great mods to have and can be found at https://www.nexusmods.com/carmechanicsimulator2021. "TK Basics", "Authentic Car Names", and "Real Engines and Parts Names" are also good ones to have as well.
Thanks to Jackyl and deadbob777 for all the help and advice in figuring out this whole Car Mod process.
