Description:
What does this mod do?

Market Acces Price Impact (MAPI) is one of the core features of Victoria 3’s economy, yet the way it’s affected is a bit weird. Buildings like railroads and ports, buildings that should impact MAPI, do not. But for some reason zeppelins do. MAPI: Railroads & Ports tries to change that.

Tweaks
  • Traditionalism gives -10% MAPI instead of -15%
  • Stock Exchange gives 5% MAPI instead of 10%
  • Railways can now give up to 10% MAPI when fully researched
    • Early trains give 2% MAPI
    • Steam trains give 5% MAPI
    • Electric trains give 8% MAPI
    • Diesel trains give 10% MAPI
  • Ports can now give up to 5% MAPI
    • Anchorage gives 1% MAPI
    • Basic port gives 2.5% MAPI
    • Industrial port gives 4% MAPI
    • Modern port gives 5% MAPI
  • Airship Mooring Post (Skyscraper’s zeppelin production method) now gives 5% prestige and NO MAPI
  • Paved Roads give 5% MAPI

How does this affect the game?

This now allows all coastal states to reach 100% MAPI, making some state modifiers like Yellow River less useful at the end of the game but still giving advantages to the countries at the start. Also makes railways more important for industrialisation, giving them another function other than infrastracture and transport.

This mod has been heavily inspired by the changes VTM made to MAPI and is intended to keep the game as vanilla as possible. However, if you’re looking for similar mods with more content you can look up https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3032533792
