More VFE-I2 Hives
Adds more hives to the game, using the hive code from vanilla factions expanded – insectoids 2.
This mod adds a large artificial sorne hive that allows you to get queen insectoids. The hive costs 300 insect jelly, 50 royal insect jelly and 2 sorne pherocores. It also requires twice as much maintenance as other hives. It takes 6 days to gestate one insectoid queen. The queen is a defender insectoid.
It might seem really weak in comparison to other hives, but one should remember that the queen is pretty much a thrumbo that also produces royal insect jelly.
If you have Odyssey you can also use the hive to get the Hive Queens from the dlc.
This mod also adds a royal hive which allows you to use royal insectoids, the ones that come with the patriarch.
If you have Save Our Ship 2, then this mod also adds an artificial space hive, which can spawn the astromites, stellapedes and cosmopillars. I also made a patch so that the astromites are immune to the cold temperatures of space. I also tried to adjust their growth time, but it didn’t seem to work for some reason. The space hive costs as much as the exotic geneline hives, but it takes a sorne pherocore instead of the specialized ones.
This mod couldn’t exist without the vanilla expanded team, so go give them your love and money. Also it seems they anticipated mods like this one, because all the code is accessible from xml.
