Description:

Pompeii was an ancient Roman city buried under volcanic ash in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Preserved beneath the ash, the excavated city offers a unique snapshot of Roman life, frozen at the moment it was buried.

World Wonder: Pompeii

– A free Swordsman appears in the city on completion.
– Grants +1 Iron, +3 Gold, +1 Culture, and +1 Great Merchant point.
– +4 Tourism once Archaeology has been discovered.
– The city must have a Volcano nearby within its borders. Prereq Tech: Construction.

Note: Pompeii is built on the Volcano terrain feature added by the Volcanoes mod, which is bundled in Sapiens and Gaia’s Core.
