This mod is a collection of tweaks I use when using Vanilla Psycasts Expanded. While I do enjoy balance, I personally like a bit of broken "magic". I always felt like a Psycaster is something more in the larger narrative of Rimworld’s story, especially with Vanilla Psycasts Expanded!

Tweaks I’ve made to Psycast Paths:

Skipmaster:
– Skip ability no longer needs line of sight, you can now Skip anywhere on the map albeit with the same range Skip already had.
– Skip ability does not stun anyone who is teleported.

Conflagrator:
– Fireball ability no longer arches like if the Psycaster tossed it in the air like a ball, instead it acts more as a projectile with a slightly faster speed. Fireball also no longer has a miss radius, making it completely reliable.
– Firebeam ability no longer causes a psychic coma after use.

Frostshaper:
– Ice Spike ability no longer has any accuracy modifiers and will instead always hit the target.
– Frost Ray ability duration period is no longer tied to psychic sensitivity, so incredibly psychic sensitive pawns will no longer be trapped in Frost Ray’s duration for longer periods of time
– Frost Ray ability also now has increased damage.

Chronopath:
– Plant Timeskip ability now no longer ages the psycaster, and has increased range.
– Age ability now reverses 5 years of the caster’s age instead of the default 2.
– Timeskip Meditation ability no longer causes a Psychic coma after use.
– Season Timeskip ability no longer causes a Psychic coma after use.
– Time Reversal ability no longer causes a Psychic coma after use.
– Timequake ability no longer causes a Psychic coma after use.

Other Psycast Mods

Puppeteer:
– Brain Cut ability now works on your own Colonists.
– Brain Leech ability now works on your own Colonists.
– Puppets no longer suffer any negative penalties to their consciousness from being a puppet.
– Summon Puppets ability no longer requires line of sight, so you may summon your puppets from anywhere on the map.

These tweaks are tweaks I’ve made for my own experience! I made this mod primarily for me, but released it because I thought maybe others would enjoy the tweaks I often use

– Make sure to load this after all Psycast Mods!

– Combat Extended? No idea. Never used it, Plus this is a Psycast mod dummy.

– This mod should be compatible with existing saves, just make sure to back up your save just in case!

– A lot of Psycasts have Psychic Coma built into the ability itself, if I mention that I cannot remove it via this mod then it’s best you use Cherry Picker mod to remove Psychic Coma all together.

This is not a attempt to say my ideas are better than the Vanilla Expanded team’s vision for Vanilla Psycasts Expanded, These are just my preferred tweaks that make the game more fun for me!
