AE2410 Wyvern Attack Helicopter
Medium-sized, nimble compound attack helicopter gunship with a total of 4 hardpoints and a chin-mounted dual-autocannon. Powerful engines provide high lift, and the combination of coaxial rotors and a pusher-propeller grace the airframe with extreme maneuverability and high speed.
A somewhat newer model in comparison to the previous vehicles I posted, though lacking in the details department (I was too tired to finish it, so I just polished it up for the mod). This near future chopper is also more imaginative than the previous tank mods. The basic idea is a rough mash-up of elements from the Mi-28, AH-64 Apache, and some compound helicopters such as the SB-1 and S-97.
It flies and takes off faster, and is more maneuverable than the vanilla helicopter but has the same health: 2000 HP. Unfortunately, it’s a bit of a glass cannon when used by the AI because they tend to rush headfirst into AA fire.
I am also testing weak points with this mod. The engines and rotor assembly can be damaged by small arms fire (0.2X damage) and only has 1000 HP. Destroying the rotor assembly will insta-kill the Wyvern.
