Description:

This mod adds the slave economy to the Tomb Kings faction.

It also adds: slave economy relevant effects to the public order line, slave economy effects to Tomb King Lord campaign skills, faction specific bonuses to differentiate factions, slaves as a reward to a selection of Tomb King dilemmas and missions and a slave specific Mortuary Cult rituals and sacrifices.

This mod is already included in the Exiles of Nehek Faction Overhaul mod. Please don’t attempt to use both or you will simply crash your client.

………………………………………………..

Slavery is built into Nehekhara culture. The people of ancient Nehekhara used slaves to build many of their monuments. The priests of Ptra welcomed his arrival at dawn and made sacrifices to the Great Father by sending young slaves to burn to death in large fire pits. When the Black Pyramid was being built the broken corpses of countless slaves were built into its foundations. Even death is no escape; King Amenemhetum continues to raid the world rowed by skeleton slaves doomed to an eternity at the oars.

This mod adds the slave economy to Tomb Kings to reflect that (slightly horrific) cultural aspect of them. Remember; "Only slaves worry about heat!" 🙂

Faction Specific Effects:

  • Arkhan the Black: +30% Slave Income, +50% Post Battle Captives, +50% Slave Decline
  • High Queen Khalida: +10% Slave Income, +10% Post Battle Captives, -50% Slave Decline
  • Grand Hierophant Khatep: +15% Slave Income, +15% Post Battle Captives, +10% Slave Decline
  • Settra The Imperishable: +30% Slave Income, +30% Post Battle Captives, +15% Slave Decline

Mortuary Cult Ritual: Harvesting Organs Ritual. If you’re sick of your slaves, or simply short of Canoptic Jars, you can now start harvesting them in a ritual in the same way that Liche Priests harvest organs from post-battle captives. Sacrifice 400 slaves to gain 50 jars next turn. 1 turn cooldown, meaning you can perform this turn after turn if you wish.

Dilemmas and missions: Added the additional award of slaves to certain Tomb King dilemmas and missions.

Compatibility: Added compatibility with Selian’s excellent "Servants of Nagash – Faction Overhaul" Mod. Selian’s mod removes the normal Tomb King Public Order Building line and replaces with it’s own custom Public Order building line. So I made this mods slave-related effects to interact with Selian’s custom Public Order Balefire building line. Have updated screenshots to include.

Dilemmas and missions: Added the additional award of slaves to certain Tomb King dilemmas and missions.

General Points:

  • Very special thanks to Vandy on the C&C Modding Den who made the script for the Mortuary Cult extension possible. Really appreciated. Beer-age is owed. Also thanks to Norse and all the other people who gave feedback to me. A great community and place to go as a modder.

  • You should be able to add this mod to any save game. However once added you won’t be able to remove it. Update: Some users have reported being able to add and remove the mod at will. Haven’t tested myself yet. Welcome more feedback. Useful (if it works) to be able to disable/enable it if you wish to change tax status on and off for regions.

  • I honestly have no clue as if it works with any overhauls like SFO etc. as I don’t play those mods. Welcome feedback from those who do use those overhauls if it does. Update: Initial feedback suggests that the overhaul over-writes key tables in this mod causing it not to work. So probably avoid large sprawling overhauls like Radous/SFO/etc.

  • Delighted to see so many variations of this mod emerge over the last couple of days for different factions on the workshop. Clearly I only mod for Tomb Kings so it can be frustrating for users and subscribers when the see things which they’d like transplanted to their own faction of choice but the modder has no interest in that. Over the last few days these two mods have emerged both based on the original concept of my mod so if you want the slave economy for either Vampire Counts or Norsca, please check out Lethani’s "Surrender and serve me in life, or…" or 95Regions "Nor_slaves.pack". I’m sure over coming weeks they’ll develop the features in those mods just as I’ve developed my own.
