Red J. Bird
"AUUUGGGGHHH-HHIMIHAGH!"
Red is a small disjointed swordfighter, using Epic as the base for a good amount of his attacks as a semi-disjointed Swordfighter, as well as borrowing and remixing some elements and attacks from the other Birds.
Neutral Special: Pepper Rage
This is Red’s passive and is pulled from Angry Birds Epic, playing into his impulsive Anger the character is known for.
The meter slowly fills up based on dealing damage, or getting hit. Once used, Red explodes out in Anger with an explosion around him.
Depending on meter amount, the rage bubble increases in size. This is a loose adaptation of Bomb’s ability.
Pressing Attack & Special with a full meter causes Red to dash forward. If this hits, Red jumps up and does his Heroic Strike attack from Epic.
Side Special: Explosive False Egg
Red tosses up a false Egg as it falls down, once placed, Red can leave it on the ground, or smack it as a projectile.
If Red uses Side Special again while Egg is active, it turns into a tailswipe.
The Egg can be hit with any of Red’s attacks, however Side Special will make it launch more horizontal.
If the egg touches the slingshot, it launches off and turns into a Red tinted egg that packs more of a punch.
This is a loose adaptation of Matilda’s ability.
Down Special: Slingshot
Red calls for the series iconic Slingshot to be summoned right ontop of him within the stage.
Press Special near it to hop on, and use the direction stick to aim yourself. Press Special again to launch off.
Slingshot is one of your main movement options to close the distance due to the power and speed from it.
This behaves similar to the Angry Birds games, where based on pull back and aim, this will determine how you get launched out.
Up Special: Mighty Feathers
Red slowly hovers up as small wind tornados surround and hover him in place. If Red presses Special during this, he boosts up and goes into freefall. You can drift side to side during the start up, and cancel the first half of the attack by pressing Parry.
