The F-105D Thunderchief, or "Thud," was a key U.S. Air Force aircraft during the Vietnam War, primarily used for strike and bombing missions. Designed as a supersonic fighter-bomber, it became the workhorse of the war’s aerial campaign, particularly during Operation Rolling Thunder. The F-105D was tasked with high-risk, low-level bombing raids against heavily defended North Vietnamese targets, including bridges, railroads, and airfields. Despite its size, the Thunderchief was fast and capable of carrying a heavy bomb load, including conventional bombs and napalm. It also faced fierce anti-aircraft defenses and suffered significant losses. However, the F-105D’s speed, firepower, and range made it indispensable for striking vital enemy infrastructure, contributing greatly to the U.S. bombing campaign.

– use left/right arrow keys to cycle down/up skins. Alternatively, when landing gear is down, holding yaw left + throttle down/yaw right + throttle up will cycle down/up skins. This causes AI to sometimes change skins on takeoff, and is a gameplay feature.
– press H to toggle third person heads-up display (TP-HUD)
– the Thud is a strike bomber, but in Ravenfield I made it more of a slower-moving bomber. In this vein, use it for its firepower. Much like the Berserker, its defence IS offence. Dogfighting is possible but you will be at a disadvantage against aircraft with tighter turn circles
