This mod reworks "Curse of the Blind" to display 3 items over every blind item pedestal. One of these items will be the real deal, while the others are fakes drawn from the same item pool! Is getting Magic Mushroom really worth the chance of picking up Libra instead?
By default, this does not affect blind items in alt path treasure rooms, but this can be toggled through REPENTOGON’s ImGui menu (You can access this by pressing the ~ key after loading one of your saves, and looking for the mod’s menu at the top).
I’ve always been a bit frustrated with the design of Curse of the Blind, and found it to really only ever remove player agency and rarely make the game more entertaining. This mod aims to remedy that by giving the player a bit more to work with when deciding whether to pick up an item or not. I find it especially interesting for choice pedestals in Angel Rooms!
This mod is a little hacky due to how sprite information on certain items is loaded (mostly mega chest items), so there may be some bugs. If you see something, please let me know!
