[Spearhead] M/1823 Divesbane
Spearhead is a spinoff project of Frontlines that will be used to differentiate completely fictional weaponry. Some may have some historical components, but for the most part these guns are going to be fabricated by myself or others, or redesigns from other fictional universe for Frontlines purposes.

This mod contains the M1823 "Divesbane", a custom-made double action black powder needlefire pepperbox revolver/carbine designed for Grand Navy commodore. A truly one-of-a-kind masterpiece of a weapon, the Divesbane was designed with its main user in mind. The main ‘loading’ for its removable cylinders features a long, almost torpedo-shaped bullet, propelled by a black powder charge with a primer embedded in the center of the powder, with the cylinders sealed by wax. The weapon is designed to be highly water-resistant, per its user’s unique needs in a firearm. The decent velocity of the rounds fired by the weapon, alongside their peculiar shape, makes them decently capable of traveling through water but at the cost of on-land performance. The rounds tumble like hell and drop a ton as a result, but they do incredible damage at close to medium ranges. While the commodore never really used the carbine front and detachable stock, preferring to use the Divesbane as a close-ranged personal defense weapon, its current owner seems to like the kit.
Real-Life Inspiration:
This gun is essentially a commission from my sister irl, she wanted me to make a kind of personal defense weapon for one of her OCs that would exist in the 1820s, and had specific needs; mainly, they used lightning magic and if their target was in water or they were in water they couldn’t use said magic efficiently without extreme danger to themselves or others. The M/1823 Divesbane is essentially a weird hybrid of a pepperbox pistol, flintlock pistol vibes, needlefire mechanism, and an underwater firearm, utilizing wax to seal its chambers so that water poses less of an issue. It’s likely still decently unrealistic, but hey, it was fun to make and it’s damn cool.
