Why is the addon so big?
Why don’t I just mount CSGO instead?
Do I need CS:GO Legacy/CS2 mounted for this addon to work?
The CSGO models had to be recompiled & adjusted for GMod. Otherwise your playermodel hands wouldn’t appear and weapons would use textures from the wrong games.
We’ve made sure to trim down on some things while still giving plenty of features to play with.
CS2 with the CS:GO Legacy branch is also ~80GB.
How do I inspect weapons?
Enable your developer console, then put in
Can I use this addon on my server?
Yes, but do not reupload this addon on the workshop.
If you need to modify addon code, your GMod server will automatically send lua files from your game server to clients when they join. Use game.AddWorkshop to have clients download the materials, models, sounds, and particles.
To closer mimic CS:GO, there is the swcs_weapon_sync_seed convar to desync spread from the client and server.
