Wrecked planes and shadowy mangroves, welcome to Busted Bayou! The second secret level in World 1 (Lost Mangroves) of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Busted Bayou is the first silhouette level in the game and a callback to Returns’ silhouette levels!
Basic Mode features an asymmetrical triple platform layout, while Aether Mode remixes the layout and features colors taken from Returns’ Sunset Shore! Both modes feature the same silhouette gimmick, covering all fighters in shadow.
There’s also special compatibility for any Donkey Kong character with a silhouette alt!
Busted Bayou features 8 songs from Tropical Freeze, Returns, and even DKC2! Jam out to other tunes from World 1 or the other silhouette level themes from both games!
Tired of randomization and want to select the song yourself? Hold shield/parry and a direction on either stick or the keyboard during the match countdown! The available options change per mode and are as follows: (UP: 1/4, RIGHT: 2/5, DOWN: 3/7, LEFT: 6/8)
