Hello.
Are you a breton who’s fed up with how our nation is woefully misrepresented in EU4 ? Does the pitiful, inadequate breton mission tree where the game tries to force you to invade france even though it makes no sense historically bother you ? Are you sad that one of the biggest "what if’s" of Western Europe history is so poorly developed ? Are you annoyed that your culture would be thrown into the french culture group (same as Welsh and Cornish are thrown into the anglo culture group) even though it makes no sense linguistically and culturally ? Does it boggle your mind that you have the "reform france" decision even though the bretons never cared about france to begin with, except when it tried to invade them ? Are you bothered by the frenchnaming everywhere for breton ships and people ? Are you just curious about the history of Brittany ? Are you looking for a "tall" game challenge ?
Then this mod is for you.
What you will find here :
– A new culture group for Bretons, Welsh and Cornish to finally find themselves together in, Brythonic.
– A fully renovated mission tree, showing the real aspirations of the Breton nation in that timeline : discover/colonize/explore, improve their country, keep the french at bay, be catholic and proud of it, modernize the Estates of Brittany
– New events, aiming to showcase some great breton people in history
– A fully remade list of names for monarchs, leaders, armies and ships, showcasing actual breton names instead of frenchnaming it all
– Some localizations tweaked to remove any mention to "Gallic" which bretons never were to begin with
– A new mercenary company, unlocked through mission tree
– (Update) Added a new Monument in Naoned, the Kastell An Duged, which will allow you to skyrocket your defensiveness and prestige
– (Update) Localisation en français ajoutée – il est désormais possible de jouer à ce mod en français
Compatibility :
I created this mod with all DLCs on my machine so I don’t know whether it will work or not if you’re missing DLCs.
This mod should work with any mod that only alters UI or graphics in general.
It will NOT work with content that edits cultures or culture groups, as well as national ideas localization.
I give no guarantee for any other content.
