This is a small mod that improves some of the Chosen behaviors without making really significant changes to their difficulty. In fact, all this mod has are a couple ini edits, there are no new or changed abilities in this mod at all.

This mod is intended for people who are generally fine with the Chosen, but want to make them just a little bit more interesting.

This mod does not include the AI changes from ABAI/ABA, this is literally only what is mentioned below:

LIST OF CHANGES

– The Warlock is now aware that he carries a weapon and will sometimes use it on flank shots, kill shots and sure shots (shots with >80% hit chance). If offered the opportunity for such a priority shot, there is always a chance for him to go psi instead. He is The Elder’s Greatest Champion™ after all.
– The Warlock will try to use his Teleport Ally ability primarily on Chryssalids and Berserkers.

– The Assassin had her decision tree re-ordered. In vanilla WotC, she follows a predictable pattern of phases where she uses certain skills. In its stead there is now some light randomization introduced that make her act less on rails.
– The Assassin is now aware of the Arashi shotgun on her back. She can use it as part of her regular combat routine and there is even a chance that she uses it to break stealth.

– The Hunter will now sometimes use his pistol.
– The Hunter no longer prioritizes Sharpshooters with his Tracking Shot, mostly because i feel like the idea behind it no longer holds up once custom classes are introduced into the game.
– The Hunter will check for the priority shots (Flank Shot, Kill Shot, Sure Shot) before taking his action. His chance to act on these priorities is higher than it is for the Warlock, but it’s intentionally not set to 100%.

FAQ

Q: Is this everything? The Chosen are still not very threatening!
A: Yep, and i have no intention to change that. In my opinion the Chosen are already playing too big of a role in the campaign and are warping the gameplay around them. I do not want to make them more powerful. There are other mods on the Workshop that can give you a more significant increase to Chosen powerlevel. This mod has intentionally been kept subtle.

Q: Can i use this in my ongoing campaign?
A: Sure, this can be activated at any point.

Q: What mods are compatible?
A: This is compatible with anything that is not also changing Chosen AI.

Q: Can i use this without ABA or ABA?
A: Yes, you can. The AI changes in this mod are self-contained and work on their own.

PERMISSIONS

Any modder is allowed to pilfer, re-use or re-upload any of ABAI:Chosen Tweak’s assets, scripts, doodads and thingamajigs in any way or form that he wants to. I don’t care.
