Residents Fish With You
When you start fishing, residents and followers with a fishing hobby or fishing work will move towards your location and start fishing if a fishing sign is available. While you are fishing, their tracked catches are dropped at your location.

- Residents and followers with a fishing hobby or fishing work will actively participate in fishing when you start fishing.
- Requires available fishing signs for residents and followers to start fishing.
- While you are fishing, tracked resident and follower catches drop at your position instead of their position.
- Optionally send exact player catches and while-you-are-fishing resident/follower catches to containers whose permission is set to shared after fishing completes, including catches vanilla would otherwise pick up into the player’s inventory.
- Optionally require bait for resident/follower invites and consume one player bait when a resident or follower catch is delivered to your position. If player bait is unavailable at delivery time, the catch stays where it is and is not sent to shared containers.
- Pets and followers temporarily stop auto-following while you are fishing so they can participate normally.
This mod works with existing save files.
This mod requires the Mod Options mod only for accessing the Config menu. The core functionality of this mod will still work without it. Please subscribe to the Mod Options mod for menu-based configuration:
Adjust these settings via the configuration file:
Enable or disable automatically placing exact player catches and while-you-are-fishing resident/follower catches into containers whose permission is set to shared after fishing completes. When enabled, tracked catches can be moved to containers whose permission is set to shared even if vanilla would otherwise pick them up into the player’s inventory.
Enable or disable requiring bait for resident/follower invites and consuming one player bait when a resident or follower catch is delivered to your position. If player bait is unavailable at delivery time, the catch stays where it is and is not sent to shared containers.
