Description:

Introducing, the Russian Double Faith!

Utilizes Rite mechanic to create a Russian Orthodox faith (in northern russia).

This faith is based on the russian phenemonon of the Russian Dvoeverie. These were rural christians who held on to pagan beliefs. While it may not be a "Rite", such as the Mozarabs (based on the Mozarabic Rite) or the Insularists (based on celtic liturgical practices in contrast to roman), I thought it would be fun and creative. Furthermore, by giving the Dvoeverie the ‘Syncretic folk Traditions’ tenet, it both fits Dvoeverie, but also allows the game to simulate the russian-mongol/tartar intermarriages that took place after the mongol conquest.

Also added a new tenet for orthodoxy, since communion as a tenet, is a competely historically innacurate tenet. This tenet allows the orthodox to engage in conquest/invasion casus bellis, which I think fit the ‘Orthodox’ region of the world in the middle ages, since it was a hotpot of religions and cultures which bred a more troubled chaotic political landscape in which invasions and conquests werent necessarily based on which family owns a piece of land based on medieval frankis/germanic inheritence laws.

Strengthens Pentarchy. Pentarchy sucks in the base game. With the buffed tenet, Orthodox get a resist conversion bonus and also the false conversion ability. The former is because, historically, the Orthodox have done that multiple times over. Whether the pressure of conversion was from caliphs in the east, or from popes in the west. The latter is less obvious but still legitimate, crypto-Christian communities in the arab caliphates, and the ottoman balkans, have historical precedent.
