How to get the greatswords?

Same as all other vanilla weapons types, you can get greatsword through commision, purchase (as adventurer), tournament award, random events, etc.

There are some innovation requirements for renaissance greatswords:
– Scottish two-handed sword requires innovation Rectilinear Schiltron
– Spadone greatsword requires innovation Condottieri
– Schlachtschwert/Zweihänder greatsword requires innovation Zweihanders

History Accuracy?

The mod provides a couple of gamerule options for players to control the strictness of history accuracy.

Evidence of greatswords first appears in the late 13th century. In this mod by default greatswords are available in Late Medieval Era or later (if you use a mod that add more eras). You can also choose to remove the era limitation.

Due to lack of evidence of greatswords being used in some region, by default greatswords are only available to european, east asian and indian cultures. You can also choose to remove the cultural limitation.

In history renaissance greatswords (such as Zweihänder, Schlachtschwert, spadone, montante, etc. ) appears around 1500. In this mod, by default renaissance greatswords will be available after specific innovations are discovered. You can choose to make them not to appear until 1490, or disable them completely if you want.

Submods

– Submod Zwei833’s Duel UI redesigns the duel (single combat) UI to better show up greatsword models.
– Submod Holding Weapon Portraits makes holding weapon poses more common on characters’ portraits.

These submods are highly recommanded but not required.

Compatiblity

Compatible with mods not adding new animation (adding poses without actual new animation doesn’t count) or altering artifact creation effects.

That means, not compatible with most "total conversion" mods (PoD, AGOT, LotR, etc.), compatible with most other mods.

The mod has built-in support for following total conversion mods: Shogunate, Asia Expansion Project, The Fallen Eagle.
