Description:

LSCO(V2) is an overhaul gameplay mod for all AG campaigns, intended to give the player the concept of the scale of potential WWIII battles with large engagements. This will allow players to replicate doctrinal tactics (Soviet echeloned attacks or NATO active defense) for battalion-level or larger engagements.
Many other changes have been made to enhance gameplay:
– Deployment points increased to allow full deployment of most formations at the start of the game.
o If entire battalions are too much to handle, a secondary mod will be uploaded with a more standard deployment style, with command and control removed.
– Battalion Morale increased to 75
– Battle time limit reduced from 50 to 30 min.
– The strength ratio required for projected major victory or higher increased to 3-1 for Major Victory and 4-1 for Total Victory.
o This reduces the chance for the AI to only fight with one battalion in defense against Strong enemies.
– 2 Fire Support units allowed to be brought in for six battalions instead of 5 for one battle
– Helicopter formations, Division/Corps/Army HQs, and Air defense units are now classified as “artillery Support” and have a support radius, giving them more flexibility in supporting battles (none of these units should be on the front line).
– Air defense formations’ strategic map range is scaled based on weapon type to replicate their capabilities.
o AAA guns- 4 tiles
o Roland/Rapier/OSA- 8 tiles
o KUB- 12 tiles
o HAWK/BUK- 15 tiles
o KRUG- 20 tiles
– The FDC trait, while not released, was still in the game files, so I made special FDC leader units for all nations. All artillery batteries have an FDC leader attached (reduced artillery aim time).
– Leader units separated between commander and leaders. Commanders provide 2xp and have a radius to support leader units, which can give an additional XP on top of their 1xp bonus (similar to Steel Division 2 but does not chain across the map). This is intended to reward proper command and control, as your units will fight much better.
o Jammers negate this effect.
– Supply units supply capacity doubled
– Vehicle autonomy increased x5
– All units except certain recon and special units and leaders have their vet reduced to 1 at the start of a campaign to promote proper C2 management in battles further (vet 3 vs vet 1).
– All air units are now “strike packages” with Air superiority, SEAD, and strike aircraft to make them more useable if the opponent brings in their own planes or air defense battalions.
o Some nations that do not have ARM-equipped aircraft have rocket or ATGM planes assigned to the SEAD role.
o This makes the air game much more dynamic.
– 16 aircraft can be deployed instead of 9
– 3rd armored DIV tank BNs have 1x Co of M1A1(HA)
– 5th Panzer div tank BNs have 1x Co of Leo2a4
– 27the GMRD tank BN now have T-80BVs and two have 1x Co with BMP-3 infantry
– 27 GMRD BTR BNs now have BTR-80s
– All Soviet Army level or higher artillery units now have eight-gun batteries, as they tried to implement in the 80s
– 303rd Artillery BDE call in now has 1x BN 2S7s and 1xBN of 2S5s
– 307th MRL BDE has 1x BN with Smerch and 1x BN with URAGAN
– East German infantry company commanders are now deployed in their respective units with armored transports instead of UAZs
– US DIV HQs and the ACR Aviation squadrons now have 1x Plt of EH-60s as they did doctrinally
– Soviet Helicopter regiments and DIV HQ with helicopter squadrons now have Mi-8MTPI (EW)
– The headquarters of the US and Belgian corps, the Wester German Div, and the Soviet Army have drone recon sections.
